With up to 50% of older Australians regularly experiencing social isolation and loneliness, it’s our mission at Comlink Australia to deliver exceptional client experiences and inspire connectivity.
We offer an extensive range of social support options to help you maintain an active social life and keep you involved with your community. We put considerable thought into our diverse program of events and outings to make sure they reflect our wellness approach and are tailored to your physical and mental health.
Social support individual can include providing companionship and social connections through visiting services, telephone and web-based services and technology, or accompanied activities such as shopping, attendance at appointments and social outings.
Social support groups can include activities providing social interactions that are away from your home such as group-based activities that promote physical activity, cognitive stimulation, and emotional well-being, excursions, or facilitated online forums.
If you’re not feeling as physically and mentally active as you used to be, Comlink Australia’s intergenerational play program could offer an innovative way to help.
It started with a visit to an early education centre and has now grown into our new Paper Planes program. When our client Joan met little Oscar, their simple act of making paper planes together and taking turns to fly them was the start of something magical.
This inspired us to capture the research-backed benefits of intergenerational play with our new Paper Planes program.
Regular intergenerational interactions support three elements that are essential to healthy ageing – maintaining physical health and wellbeing, mental functioning, and social relationships.

At Comlink Australia, we understand the importance of combating loneliness and fostering meaningful relationships. This is why we are proud to offer our Telefriends program, which aims to connect our clients with our volunteers, increase social support, and make a little magic in one another’s lives.
Calls can be made on a weekly, fortnightly, or monthly basis depending on your schedule and usually last between 30 minutes and an hour. Participants in this program speak with the same person every time allowing the opportunity to grow their connections over time.
As we age, maintaining our physical health and overall wellbeing becomes increasingly important. Comlink Australia recognises this need and has teamed up with the University of Sunshine Coast (UniSC) and Aged Care Research and Industry Innovation Australia (ARIIA) to introduce an exciting new program called Champion Life Seniors.
Designed by health professionals, this program brings guided functional movement right to our clients’ doorsteps at home and is designed to empower older adults to lead more active, fulfilling lives. With the support of a personal care assistant, tailored exercises help clients stay fit, improve strength and balance.
Respite for carers is crucial, but not always straight-forward. We understand the vital role that carers play and how necessary it is for them to sometimes have a break. Respite care services allow carers to get that much needed rest, while knowing that their loved ones are in excellent hands.
If you’re a carer for a loved one, our friendly and experienced team members help you to find the best respite options for you and your family. You can rest assured that your loved one’s personalised care needs will continue to be met to the highest standard.
Whether that means someone checking in on a daily basis or staying overnight, our professional team will make sure that your loved one feels relaxed, safe and comfortable in their own routine so that you can get the rest you deserve.
Based on your individual circumstances, our team will work with you to develop a personalised and flexible support plan that’s right for you and your family.
When it comes to community events, Comlink Australia’s busy social calendar will leave you spoiled for choice!
Each month, Comlink Australia organises a variety of social events and outings to provide you with opportunities to meet and make new friends through a wide range of activities.
Our regional Social Event Guides tell you everything that’s happening near you, so you can easily select and attend the events and outings that suit your lifestyle.
Your needs and wellbeing are important, so we listen to your feedback and develop our event guides around your capacity and level of mobility.
There’s always so much going on with Comlink Australia’s social events!
Whether you’re a social butterfly or have a specific area of interest you’d like to share, our packed calendar of diverse range of activities has something to suit you.
